Hej hej!! ✨

Incredible news: I'm done with 2nd of Bachillerato! I still can't believe I have finished high school forever. I'm really happy and proud of myself for having achieved this tbh because I have had a horrible time :"(. April has been one of the most stressful months of my life, but I've been having that feeling of stress since my school years started in September. I haven't had any time for myself until the end of bachillerato has come and that has made me reflect (now that I can!!).

We worry about spending time with our friends and having a good relación with them, about dedicating time to people we love and surround us, and other stuff like our grades, for example, but we always forget the most important thing in our lives, our engine of everything: ourselves. Think a moment about this: when was the last time you dedicated time to yourself? Time to be alone and take care of yourself, time to invest in something that fulfils your heart, you take air and say: "this makes me genuinely happy". It had been a long time since I didn't do it until yesterday.

I had been wanting to spend time with myself for a long time, doing things that I like. Yesterday I decided to go by myself to Madrid to the Sorolla Museum, to Museo Reina Sofía, to have lunch at a vegan restaurant that I had wanted to go to for months (I ended up baking my food to the Retiro park and ate there hehe btw the noodles were delicious and the place is called Bunny's Deli in case anyone is interested :) ), to read on the grass Jane Austen's books, to catch some rays and think about me and what I like, I wanted to take care of myself (you have a super beautiful video of my day in my instagram account @kaeebab). Maybe it seems like a boring or common plan, but it was really special for me since I was doing things that make me be me, things that bring joy to my days.

I feel that this very thing that I have done one day is something that should be more common in our lives and routines. We need to pamper ourselves from time to time and spend time with ourselves. Whether it is leaving the house and doing a thousand things, taking a bath with candles or simply staying in your room reflecting and getting to know yourself better, inquiring into your thoughts; anything goes as long as you are doing it for your own sake and showing self-love.

With all this I do not mean that we have to put aside friendships (far from it! They are super important and crucial in our lives) or reduce our time with them (neither : (( !!), I'm trying to say that the time we spend on other things, such as social sites or the telephone in general (I used to be up to 9 hours a day with the phone :o), could be spent on self-care and something that good for us. After quitting social media during the final exam period, I reinstalled them. However, my use of the phone has dropped a lot since then: now hopefully I use it 2 hours a day and all that time that I used to spend on Twitter, Instagram or Tik tok it's time that I now invest in reading, studying Swedish, Korean, writing, painting more or learning about art history; in short, things that make me be me and that make me happy because I've come to realize that social media was just a burden that consumed my time and kept me from developing and growing creatively :). Obviously, I still use social media, but much less than before and I am very happy to have stopped it.

At the end of the day, the person with whom we are going to spend all our lives is ourselves. So from my room, I encourage you to start giving yourself some time, to get to know you even more. Ya'll have to love yourself more, kids!! I hope that reading this was useful, and if it has been a little help to start paying more attention to you, I am very happy then. Take care of yourselves because ya'll are super special and you matter!!

Stay hydrated and stay safe <3

Hej då och vi ses! 🪴🤍
